\nGENERAL EDUCATION: All students must complete the 36 credit general education requirement in order to graduate from this program. A.S. degree holders may need to complete an additional 15-21 general education credits to complete the thirty-six (36) credit hour general education requirement.

\nFOREIGN LANGUAGE: If you have not completed two consecutive years of the same foreign language in high school or 8 credits in college, you will need to complete 8 credits of foreign language before completing the B.A.S. program.

This program is offered as a Fully Online program. The Veterinary Technology (VETTC-BAS) program provides a terminal degree opportunity for veterinary technicians. This program offers specialized tracks in clinical techniques and hospital management and is designed to build on the technical skills acquired in the AS Veterinary Technology program. The curriculum provides in-depth knowledge in subject areas critical for veterinary technicians to be highly capable and contributing members of the profession.

The clinical students will benefit from the merger of two courses that have some redundancy between them. Both of these courses need to be revitalized and may be merged into one course. This merger provides an opportunity for a new required course within the clinical core: The Veterinary Technologist and One Health. ATE 3658 and ATE 3616 will be merged to Advanced Veterinary Nursing. As these are both three credit courses and will be merged into one three credit course, the new course, The Veterinary Technologist and One Health will provide three credits that will be needed to satisfy the clinical track. It will not affect course types or sequence but the Clinical pathway will list the new courses.

Removing ATE 3643 elective from Clinical track, Hospital Management track, Combined track (general electives list) elective options, as the course is historical. Swapped ATE 3643 on clinical pathway with.ANS 3006. Program has decided to remove ATE 3914 (no longer offered) from the Clinical and Hospital subplan elective options.
