As students enter the A.S. degree in Early Childhood Education, they can earn this certificate after 12 credit hours of specific EEC coursework. The completion of the certificate requirements assists in student motivation and retention. Staff in Early Head Start classrooms must take coursework specific to infant and toddler care and many employers in corporate and non-profit child care centers require a minimum of 12 credits in early childhood education coursework for their Lead teachers. This certificate allows students to meet both requirements.</p>","LAST_GRADUATE_TERM":"Spring 2015 (495)","LIMITED_ACCESS":"No","MEDIAN_DEBT":null,"MEDIAN_LOAN_NOTE":null,"NON_CREDIT":"No","ON_TIME_GRADUATION_FISCAL_YEAR":null,"ON_TIME_GRADUATION_RATE":null,"ON_TIME_GRADUATION_SOURCE":null,"ON_TIME_GRADUATION_STUDENTS":null,"ONTIME_GRADUATION_WEBSITES":null,"OUT_OF_STATE_TUITION":null,"OWN_WEBPAGE":"Yes","PENDING_SACS_APPROVAL":null,"PEOPLESOFT_PLAN_DESCRIPTION":"Infant and Toddler Specialization Certificate","PEOPLESOFT_SHORT_DESCRIPTION":null,"POST_BACCALAUREATE_CERT":null,"PRINT_PROGRAM_ON_DIPLOMA":"Yes","PRINT_PROGRAM_ON_TRANSCRIPT":"Yes","PROGRAM_APPROVED":null,"PROGRAM_CODE":"ITSP-CT","PROGRAM_DESIGN":null,"PROGRAM_NAME":"Infant and Toddler Specialization Certificate","PROGRAM_NEED":null,"PROGRAM_SUMMARY":"<p>The Infant and Toddler Specialization Certificate (ITSP-CT) coursework is part of an A.A. transfer pathway to several degree options in the College of Education.
