Through a working knowledge of theatrical literature, students may better grasp the knowledge of what is in a stage script and how to find the important information with the script. The student will read plays from various periods and genres and analyze dramatic elements such as plot, character, theme, dialogue and style. Students will analyze scripts looking for acting, design and directing indicators provided within the script.
