Program Summary

The Respiratory Care Program is dedicated to the philosophy and goals of the college. The Respiratory Care Program is designed to offer the student planned learning experiences and to provide knowledge, skills, and promote attitudes that will culminate in successful employment of the graduate as a respiratory therapist. The Associate of Science in Respiratory Care is transferable to a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration at SPC. Program begins in August.

Admission Rules

Please review the Repiratory Care A.S. Admission Guide. The Admission Guide will outline the admission criteria specific to the Respiratory Care A.S. program as well as explain the timetable for evaluation and further admission correspondence. Please review this information carefully to ensure you submit a complete application at the appropriate time. Only students who satisfy all the application requirements and submit a complete application in accordance with the information detailed in the Admission Guide will be considered for admission. Before entering the first term of the Respiratory Care “program courses” students must complete a minimum of 12 credits from the General Education and/or Support courses listed below including BSC 2086 and BSC 2086L with a grade of “C” or better. General Education and Support courses do not have to be completed in the order listed below. Candidates will also complete the Health Programs Application form. Please see a counselor or advisor.
